Butterflies, butterflies! I forgot about the Butterflies!

I forgot that I had promised to post a photo of the Butterfly Quilt I made for my friend, Carol Sveilich. Here it is:

The fabric on the back of the quilt is called “Minky” and it’s a soft, velour with raised polka dots.

You can see the shadow of the quilting/stitching I did on the front. I outlined each butterfly, around each block, and then added multi-color rainbow decorative stitching in the black bands. I added a label to the back that has a cat in silhouette since Carol has 2 cats and is a real cat lover (well, like yours truly). Carol and I have been friends since the early ’80’s–a long time.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy! Be sure to tell those you love that you love them. We are all blessed in this life…

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

I’ve read every one of his books and have an anthology here of other writers work but Hillerman put an introduction on it so they put his name on the cover… 😕 Love his stories…
