    What kind of a train is this? Inspection?

      Yes. I think they put the passenger train in just to take the corportate types for a ride through the Tehachapi Loop. The last car is called a Geometry car. it checks the track through some kind of infra-red/x-ray type machine and can tell if there are spots that need to be replaced. I don’t know all of the ins and outs of it, but had a good friend years ago who operated one. I think he’s probably retired by now but I still see him on Facebook now and then.
