Easy enough to find something to write about today. Today is the first Monday of the month and it’s Tehachapi Mountain Quilt Guild meeting day. I received a call from Paulette Sherry, a fellow member, last night. She called to offer to pick me up and take me to the meeting. I was actually debating on whether I wanted to go because I knew I would have to drive myself and my shoulder had been giving me fits almost continuously for the past couple of days. So I gratefully accepted her offer.
Fast forward to this morning and after 2 extra-strength acetaminophen and a cup of coffee, I’m doing o.k. I noticed that my computer’s clock hadn’t changed and wondered why that was. When I went in to check it, I discovered it was set for Arizona time — no daylight savings in Arizona!! Problem resolved. I changed the time zone and voila! I have 30 min. before Paulette will be here to pick me up. And I’m not in pain…
I have to say that this is a glorious moment for me. I told Robert this morning that I wanted this pain thing to be over and done with. He said, “Me too, momma.” I know it has to be difficult for him — he can’t do anything to take my pain away, and I’m such an independent cuss that I go ahead and do things I shouldn’t be doing rather than ask him for help. Then he barks at me about asking him for help. <sigh> I’m going to have to work on that one…
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, please be safe today, be well and be happy. Happiness is a state of mind, you know — and do tell those you love that you love them. Everyone in your life is important — they are your life and your life would be incredibly different without them.
I take two Tylenol once in a while at bed time, and the relief usually lasts for two days.

I’m having to take them more than I like. Some mornings the pain is so bad I take the Tylenol before my morning coffee. BUT, the pain/exercise are doing their magic and I’m able to move better/further without pain. Such a wonderful feeling!
