Back home again and loving it. I’m still working on the gifts for the New Year’s gathering. I have 6 more cut and ready for binding. I received another RSVP so we are now at 22 and possibly 24 for dinner.
Although San Diego was 20 degrees warmer than Tehachapi, it was still cold and we kept bundled up any time we were outdoors. The younger son and his family were all in various stages of respiratory infections. Now tonight Robert is feeling a twinge of soreness in his throat. Keeping my fingers crossed that it’s nothing contagious. I’ll have to be very careful around him.
We came home and saw snow and the weather report is more snow on the way tomorrow. Brrrr.
Our son’s home was decorated with lights, wreaths, poinsettias and candy canes along the walkway. The lighted Poinsettia and Christmas Wreath hanging above the garage door were made years ago by Robert, based on decorations made by a fellow resident at Roadhaven Resort. There’s another wreath hanging outside the living room window–you can see its shadow through the blinds. That’s Robert and our niece J sitting on the couch, with the elder grandson just barely making it into the photo on the left. Good times… good memories.
Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.
