New Years Eve 2015

What a way to end this year — we brought home a head cold from our visit with the kids at Christmas. <sigh> We’re living on cough drops, cough medicine, hot tea with honey and lots of tissue for the runny noses. I think I’ve turned the tide on the infection and hope to be fairly well by Friday evening. That’s when we will join 20 of our friends to celebrate the new year by dining on Chinese food at the Great Wall. It’s been Robert and my New Year’s tradition for over 40 years and we continued it after moving here to Tehachapi, but we included all of our friends. It’s always a great time and I’m looking forward to some of that egg drop soup! Ahhhh… now THAT should take care of any ills remaining from this cold.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Take care of yourself — there’s only one YOU in the universe. Tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
