Dinner was a quick affair tonight — smoked sausage with potatoes, onions and bell pepper strips. I took part of it into another skillet and added half of a small cabbage, chopped. I love cabbage and onions too, for that matter, but they both have way too much fibre for my sensitive system.

I have the red, black and white quilt top finished and the quilt sandwich is laid out on my dining room table. I’m pinning the layers together and then will begin to quilt it on my sewing machine. No idea what design I will do — perhaps I’ll pounce a chalk design on the back and sew that. We’ll see how brave I can get between now and the time the pinning is completed.

Tomorrow is the big S day — surgery for my daughter-in-law’s father, M. I want to thank all of my friends for their prayers and positive thoughts. They’re sincerely appreciated.

Photos taken at night don’t come out all that great, but here’s the quilt laying on my dining room table.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them. See you tomorrow!!

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
