I had a busy day today — spent running around with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. She says they’re taking off tomorrow to head back home, but I think I’ve convinced her to stay at least one more day.

We took in the Borax Mine Museum in Boron, and the Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum in Tehachapi. I napped off and on throughout most of the day, taking it very easy on my back. When we got  back home (after having dinner at the Red House BBQ), I checked my answering machine for messages. The younger son had called and left a message for his dad — today was his dad’s birthday. He said he would call back later. We haven’t heard from the older son, nor our niece, and they usually will call and wish him a happy birthday. Perhaps they’ll call later on this evening.

It’s been a very enjoyable day today and I’m hoping tomorrow will be the same. We’ll be going to Ojai to visit the son and daughter-in-law of friends from Kansas. Should be interesting. I think I’ll go make some cookies for tomorrow. Some nice chocolate chippers!

Be safe, be well and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them!

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
