This is the decor in front of the Cantina Restaurant here in Roadhaven. I hadn’t really noticed it until I was there taking pictures of Dad’s tree. I don’t know how old that saddle is, but it’s seen much better days!

I just got back from putting my Kenmore sewing machine in the shop  There’s really nothing wrong with it, but I wanted to have it serviced before I gave it to my niece. The guy at the shop said it was a really good machine, better in fact, than the newer ones because it had metal gears and case where the newer ones were all plastic. He had 3 sewing machines for sale == a Viking Husquevarna embroidery machine, a New Home, and an odd-colored machine that I didn’t check out very much at all because it looked really old. The repairman said it would take about 3 days to go through the machine, and he would call when it was ready for pick-up.

It’s been really cloudy and windy today. Robert has been outside, washing down the gutters. He borrowed a neighbor’s air compressor and blew out whatever he could and now he’s using a hose to wash out the remains. It’s a filthy job, but it has to be done every year.

Not much else going on. Be safe, be well (watch out for those allergies–’tis the season!), and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
