Journaling prompt for today: “For this today’s writing prompt, take some time and dream. If you had the money and/or time, describe how you would like to change your physical surroundings. What changes would you like to make to your home or apartment?  What type of furnishings would you like to change and add? Is there a color theme you want to use? What physical things do you want to get rid of or replace? How do you think these physical changes will affect you?”

For our home here in AZ, I would love a new stove and refrigerator along with a bit more counter space. I bake a lot and the stove here in our park model is 21 years old and the temperature is off by at least 25 degrees, and it has hot spots so that I have to turn my baking items around at mid-point in their baking to keep from burning half of the item and leaving the other half raw. The refrigerator you ask? Well, it’s the same vintage and my primary complaint is rust in the freezer and the lack of shelves in the refrigerator section.

The home in California is virtually new and all I really need there is more closet space (wider aisle, actually, so I don’t connect with the edge of the linen shelving as I walk out (or in). I’m actually quite happy with the house; outdoors, I would love to have a raised garden and a bench with an arbor so I can sit and watch the trains as they run down below. But the bench and arbor might interfere with our view from the upper deck, so I’m not 100% on that.

I think it’s better overall, to be happy and grateful for what you have, and I am.

Be safe, be well, and be happy. Accept yourself and your life and look for things to be grateful for. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

This would be an excellent journaling prompt for me! I’m browsing RVs a lot and it’s funny how strongly I feel about some of the interiors. There are some that are a good age range, a good price range, but I look at the inside and think, “No, never, I would be miserable here.”

Keep looking; you’ll find the right one. We looked and looked before we bought our 5th wheel trailer. It was what’s called a Toy Box and the back half was just a large space; living quarters were up front. We looked at so many RV’s that eventually, all I had to do was stand at the doorway and look in to know whether it was something I was interested in,

Oh, get the new stove. You can fix the temperatures, but not the hot spots.

I could see the hand stitching between the blocks and the parallel stitching that they used to do to not only bind the quilt, but to add dimension to the blocks, Nice,,, something like this can’t be reproduced; it’s part of someone’s past,
