When the time to leave grows short, people begin giving away things that they can no longer use/keep. So far, I’ve inherited a spice rack, a cherry tomato plant (shown here), a 5 litre box of Chardonnay, a gallon jar of dill pickle slices, 2.5 lbs. of ground beef and a pork loin roast.IMG_3854

I want to take the tomato plant with us to San Diego, but the other half says NO!!! so it’ll be passed on to someone here in the park who lives here throughout the year.

When it becomes time for us to clear out our refrigerator and cupboards, there’s a couple of places we can donate food to. The local AJ Food Bank will take unopened packages, but there’s also a donation box in the park library for the needy. Nothing will go to waste.

The weather is a bit cooler today, and there’s a heavy cloud cover that helps keep the temperature down. We’re expecting rain over the weekend, possibly as early as tomorrow. That will clear the air and freshen things up.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

Yep… before we moved from San Diego, we’d always let Robert’s dad know when we had rain, and vice versa. Seems like we’re always a day ahead or behind!
