My Iris bulbs are up and the purple ones are in bloom. I have some bulbs that grow toIMG_3872 3-4′ in height and blooms are huge in size and stunning in color, but the common ones are all deep royal purple and fairly short (1′-2′ high).

The California Poppies are sporting huge blooms this year, no doubt because of the good rains they’ve had this winter.

Seeing the Iris’ in bloom is one of the things I love about returning home to Tehachapi in the Spring. And, the lilac bushes are in bloom all over town. Beautiful!

Be safe, be well, and be happy. If you can’t be happy, try to be content with the knowledge that the balance beam of life will always return to an even level. Remember to tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

Suits are 19.00 at Costco. There is bound to be a Y or gym or sports store or doctor that can turn you on to a pool. I was back in the water today and it was heaven. I’m so glad you keep a blog. Welcome home.

Thanks… I got a tip from a friend here in Tehachapi about taking a tablespoon of honey at night to help sleep. I did it last night and don’t know if it was just a coincidence or what, but I went off to sleep and slept the whole night through–woke up this morning at 7 a.m. and felt GOOD! I’m going to try 1 teaspoon tonight and see how it does.
