Baby, it’s cold outside!! The temperature was 32 deg. when the other half got up at 8:00 a.m. this morning. I followed an hour later and it hadn’t warmed up much at all, but the rain had quit. The cloud cover is down below the mountain tops, which makes it look even colder.

The photo above was taken in December of 2015, but it’s a duplicate of what the view looks like right now, save for the deeper puddles in the back yard. One would think we’d left the warm sunshine of AZ a bit too soon, but they’re seeing triple digit heat right now and I don’t do cold OR heat all that well.

We had quite the lightning storm last night and I was able to watch the storm move on a weather web site and confirm it by looking out my office window. This morning, the radar map shows no green in our area. Kind of neat to experience this…

I know once Summer hits in full force I’ll be crying for cooler weather, but we who are temperature challenged prefer middle of the road weather.

Be safe, be well (and warm) and please be happy (or content). Be grateful for what you have and for what you DON’T have! Be sure to tell those you love that you love them. Enjoy your life, no matter what your age/life situation.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
