Day 3 — NAJOWRIMO OCTOBER ’16

img_4309Winter can’t be very far away when our skies look like they did this morning. Robert was up a few minutes before I rolled out of bed and he said it was 40 degrees on the deck this morning. He also said there were four deer in the back yard, but he didn’t take any pictures. I would have loved to see that many deer in our yard. I asked him if our ‘two-point’ deer was among them and he said he couldn’t tell. I forgot that his vision isn’t 100% just yet. One eye has yet to be worked on, and it still has cataracts.

It’s the beginning of a new month, with only two more months remaining for this year. I realize more and more how quickly time passes. Strange to feel the days getting shorter and shorter, and passing faster and faster as we age.

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Be grateful for what you have and especially grateful for what you don’t have in your life. We are all blessed, and we are loved. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

Just an hour later and this is my view… just gorgeous…

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
