DAY 25 NAJOWRIMO October 25, 2016

Ready, but tired. I’m waiting for the Banana Bread to finish baking. The Cream Cheese Pound Cake that I plan on serving for dessert tonight was baked last night. The queen bed has been remade with fresh sheets and the bath has been scrubbed to a bright shine. I’m glad I have a moment to sit and relax before our company arrives.

I’ve put out a call to some of our closest friends here in town to join us tomorrow night for Chinese food at the Great Wall. The reservation for dinner tomorrow night has been made and I don’t think I’ve forgotten anything. They’ll really only have the one day with us — tomorrow — and I’m thinking that we can just take drives through the back country if they like, or they can have a day of just relaxing here and watching trains from the deck.

Tomorrow is the last day that Robert will need eye drops in his eye. Talk about wanting to celebrate something! LOL It’s such a simple task, but the stress of having to watch the clock and get them administered on time has been something. We’ll have it to do all over again come November 15th when he gets his left eye operated on, but we’ll deal with it then. For now, I’m glad for the breather.

Be safe, be well and please be happy. Enjoy the things in life that money can’t buy, and be grateful for what you have and what you don’t have. Tell those you love that you love them — never miss the chance to say those all important words — I love you.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
