img_4387It’s time!! Time to break out the fingerless mittens and the sweatshirts. Last night, I was sitting here at the computer all bundled up and Robert announced that he was turning the furnace on — but only two degrees warmer than the temperature of the house, which at that time hovered around 63 degrees. I won the “Who turns the furnace on first this winter” competition without even trying. He was going in to take a shower in our tiled bathroom. Can you say walk-in refrigerator? LOL  It’s great in the summertime, because it’s always so cool, but in the winter months the ceramics hold the cold and make the room like an icebox.

Today we have errands to run, doctor’s appointments, DMV visits and maybe a search for a place that sells rolled tacos!! Last night on Facebook, Jennifer Gilbert Brewer commented on a photo of rolled tacos and I replied that we didn’t have a good rolled taco stand here in Tehachapi.

When we visit the kids in Santee, they take us to Rigoberto’s (thank you, Diane!) the best Mexican fast food available. Since our errands today will take us to Arvin, where there’s all kinds of Mexican restaurants, I think I might get my rolled taco fix by the end of the day!!

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Enjoy your life — each and every moment of it. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
