Time flies when you’re having fun, but this morning I lost an hour of fun when I had to set our clocks back an hour. But as I was typing the first sentence of this post, I happened to glance out my window and saw this:

What a gorgeous animal it is. There was a second one down below, but it never came up into the yard. I love living here…

Onward and upward, I finished quilting the latest quilt for the Tehachapi Depot gift shop. I have the binding strips cut and pressed and ready to apply. It’s the blue you see on the right side of the photo.

I also finished sewing the pillow, but haven’t filled it yet so won’t photograph it until it’s ready. I might just take today off… though I feel the need to continue working at these projects to get them completed. I feel like an hour glass of time is running twice as fast as normal.

Last night I was pressing the binding strips and suddenly my Arizona neighbor’s face popped into my mind. Robert was at the computer and I turned to him and said, “Stu just popped into my mind.” He said, ‘what for?’ I told him I didn’t know, it was just a flash image of the man. I told him I thought perhaps Stu was thinking of us and wondering when we were going to be coming to AZ. Interesting…

Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Tell those you love that you love them and enjoy your day.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.
