You just never know… I did a Google search for my name (looking to see if that mysterious second Facebook page was still lurking on the Internet), and found some of my artwork in a couple of places that I wasn’t aware. The two greeting cards shown are my work. Fascinating. https://hiveminer.com/Tags/ads,recycling
The black and white card was made for my eldest sister, Barbara, many years ago. It was from a postcard announcement for a quilt show to be held in Del Mar. Black and White were her favorite colors and when I saw the card come in the mail, I knew I had to make a card for her from it. I believe the green and blue card came from the other side of that same postcard.
Another bit of my art (recycled stuff) showed up on an artist friend’s page — Quietfire Design and I were members of the same artist group, Belle Papier. This card was entered in a contest hosted by Canon (if my memory serves me right). It’s actually a mixed media collage (acryllic paint, cardstock, recycled postcard advertisement, stamping and embossing). The statement says, “Art is Passion” and it’s still true, though my art/passion is now produced in fabric.
I did call Robert’s doctor this morning, to let them know that we were going to be cutting his blood pressure medication dosage in half. When I went online to check the medication’s side effects, I noted that the drug had a lower dose available. Easy enough, just split his pills and see if that helps. He was initially on 10 mg., which we cut to 5 mg., which we’ve now cut to 2.5 mg. It makes me wonder why he was put on a high dosage and has had to move to a lower dosage twice now. Why not go from low dose to high??? I would think it would be safer, with less chance for side effects. I guess that’s why they say doctors are ‘practicing’ the art of medicine.
Be well. The alternative is not fun.
Please keep us posted. You always made nice cards. I saved all you sent me. Hugs.
