Monday’s prostrate surgery went well and Robert came home from the hospital this afternoon. He returns to see the Urologist on Tuesday. Until then, he’s on limited actitvity–allowed to walk around the house but not much more for at least two weeks, and possibly up to a month. Overall, the doctor says to expect a recovery period of up to three months.

Taking things one day at a time. Be safe, be well (please!) and please be happy. Tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. My hobbies include creating art with fabric (quilting and sewing) and paper (cardmaking), reading, writing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in our G scale garden railroad), travel and volunteering. I owned a secretarial and desktop publishing business years ago and was a professional proofreader. I closed my business in 1999 when my husband retired, but I continue to enjoy proofreading and editing for e-authors. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

So glad to know that all went well. Prognosis? What a mess this year has been for the two of you. Hugs from here.

Prognosis is good — his PSA is normal so no sign of cancer. The surgery was to trim out the prostrate so it didn’t compromise the urine flow. He’s feeling good — will get the catheter removed on Tuesday and be right as rain in a few weeks. He isn’t to do more than walks around the house for the first two weeks but eventually he’ll be able to work on the railroad and do whatever he wants to do.

It’s now a few weeks, and how are you both doing.

We’re both doing good. He goes back to the Urologist in 2 more weeks. He can drive short distances but no long trips and no stairs. Short leash these days. I’ve been sewing quite a bit lately, trying to get a few things made up for the Depot’s gift shop. Will send you photos…
