DSCN1995Meet Ruby — well, meet Ruby’s back side. She’s checking out the Ravens who are feeding on the bits of bread I’ve tossed out for them. She’s just recently begun appearing outside the house–she’s an indoor cat, but I think she’s developing a taste for the outdoors. I’ll have to pick up some kitty treats for her. She came very close to coming into our back yard yesterday. If I’d had cat treats, I know I could have coaxed her in. LOL

I’ll try to get a picture of her face next time. And speaking of pictures, here’s a quilt I’ve been working on since last August. I had it quilted on a long arm and have the binding sewn down and fastened with clips to the back side. Now all I have to do is sew the binding down. It’s a gift for a family member. I hope they like it…

Take care. Be safe, be well, and please be happy. Know that you are loved. Be sure to remind those YOU love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons and two grandsons. My hobbies include reading, writing, sewing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in G scale), and travel. My husband and I are retired and we spend our winters in Arizona. I used to own a secretarial and desktop publishing business, but closed it when my husband retired in 1999. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

Were your ears burning? LOL I just told our younger son and his wife about your blog and sent them a link for your December 23 post. Her mom has Alzheimers and it’s pretty advanced. She’s still at home, but it’s a very difficult situation. I’m really saddened by her diagnosis because she and I graduated from high school together. Hugs and good to see you online.

Just flat out delightful. That’s a bit of drama they should love. My pinned quilt is on the entry titled TODAY. No long arm quilting for me, darn it, I have to sew crows.
