I captured the photo above from my neighbor’s web cam:  Tehachapi Live Train Cam at West Cable. The weather has been drizzle, drizzle dew all day long. Not cold enough for snow, and not enough rainfall to really call it a good downpour, but it’s moisture and that’s a good thing for the ground. Many of our plants on the railroad didn’t survive the last snowstorm, so we’ll have to re-think some of the plantings when the weather warms up. The trees all look great, however, so there’s a silver lining in that cloud!

The two aprons and potholders I worked on this past week got turned in to the gift shop yesterday. I have about half a dozen more potholders set up to be sewn, but didn’t do much today except make the sewn bias for the pot holder loops. I also made some chicken vegetable soup and chocolate chip cookies.

My breathing is about the same, with only a slight improvement. I see the dr. again on Monday, and am hoping she will have another treatment suggestion in mind.

Stay warm, be safe, and please be happy. Be sure to tell those you love that you love them.

About tehachap

The easiest way to define myself is as a very happily married woman with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons. My hobbies include creating art with fabric (quilting and sewing) and paper (cardmaking), reading, writing, trains (watching, photographing and running them in our G scale garden railroad), travel and volunteering. I owned a secretarial and desktop publishing business years ago and was a professional proofreader. I closed my business in 1999 when my husband retired, but I continue to enjoy proofreading and editing for e-authors. We have truly enjoyed our retirement years, and have fulfilled one of our primary goals in life and that is to own a home overlooking train tracks so we can watch trains 24/7. We are sincerely blessed in this life.

I love that train cam. I visit it every day, and sometimes I leave it up so I can revisit it. So very sorry that bug found you and is terrorizing you. I worry about you both.

I think I’ve turned the corner, but do still have some catches/half-coughs from time to time. No more gut-wrenching spells, though. Thank goodness… we’re coming along and will both get in to see the dr. for a follow-up this next week. Hugs to you …
